Where our numbers come from, and what we do not claim about them
Every rate, fee and limit on the site comes from one of three places: the provider, the regulator, or the statutory scheme. Nothing is an estimate, a house average or a figure someone typed in to fill a gap.
Primary sources
Product pricing and terms as the provider supplies them, read directly from their feed rather than retyped by us.

Statutory figures such as protection limits are recorded against the authority that publishes them and the date we last checked that authority, and the build refuses to publish one that has neither.
What we cannot tell you
We do not print a verification date, and we removed the one that used to appear here. The provider's feed does not record when the provider last reviewed a figure, so a date on this page would have been our inference presented as a fact — and it would have refreshed itself every week without anyone checking anything.
Where a figure is missing we leave the space empty rather than estimate it. That is why a calculator here will ask you for a rate instead of offering a plausible one, and why a comparison can show fewer numbers than a competitor showing more.
We would rather leave a cell blank than invent a figure for France. Offer rates and fees come from the tracker feed of live licensed deals, as the provider supplies them. Statutory figures such as deposit limits are held against the authority that publishes them.
Licence checks sit with the ACPR and the AMF. Deposit limits sit with Fonds de garantie des dépôts (FGDR) — see deposit protection. We do not stamp a verification date on a page, because the feed does not record when a provider last reviewed a figure. If a number looks stale, tell us via corrections or contact.
