How Buckmatch compares loans

What appears on a Buckmatch loan card, what we do not invent, and why a commercial fee cannot change the order.

Buckmatch is a comparison service. We do not lend and we do not broker. A loan appears in Canada only when a licensed provider has a live deal we can send you to through a tracked apply link. If that link is missing, the product is not on the page — even if you have seen the brand elsewhere.

What every card has to show

The card repeats the APR, fees, amount range and term the lender publishes for this market. Where the local rules require a representative example, we show it. Where the offer has a country-specific disclosure, it sits with the card. We do not replace those figures with a “typical” rate from another country.

Order versus the numbers

Partners pay us a fee that in most cases falls due only if you go on to be approved for or take up the product. It does not affect the order of cards, which is set on published price before any commercial term is read. It does not change the rate, the fee line, the disclosure or a review. The ordering rule is set out on the methodology page; the commercial rules are in the editorial policy.

How to use the site

Browse personal loans for the full list, or match on amount and term. Matching is a filter, not a credit decision — we do not run a credit check. Sketch a payment in the loan calculator before you apply. Related reading: APR versus the nominal rate and credit checks when you borrow.
