About us

A comparison service, not a lender.

Bankmatch compares loans, mortgages, savings and credit cards from licensed providers, market by market, on the terms those providers publish. We do not lend, we do not broker, and we do not decide who gets credit.

Payment cannot reach the order.

Every provider on this site pays us, so an editorial firewall would be the wrong promise to make: there is no unpaid listing for a paid one to be ranked above. What we can promise is narrower and easier to check. The order of a list is computed from the rate each provider publishes, before any commercial term is read, so there is no point in the process at which money could change it.

01

How we make money

Partners pay us a fee that in most cases falls due only if you are approved for or take up the product, and on a few products is a percentage of what you borrow. That never changes the price you pay or the rate you are offered, and it never changes the order — but it does mean we earn nothing from a reader we send to a provider who turns them down.

02

How lists are ordered

Cheapest first when you are borrowing, highest yield first when you are saving, on the rate the provider publishes. There is no composite score and no hand-picking. The methodology page sets out the rule in full, including what happens when a product type publishes no comparable rate.

03

Where we operate

Each country URL is its own market: its own licensed providers, currency, regulator and offers. We do not reuse another country's catalogue.

Bankmatch compares regulated financial products in United States on the terms providers publish. We are a comparison service — not a bank, not a lender and not a broker.

What we will not do

  • Invent a typical rate for a country where we do not have live terms.
  • List a provider without a working, attributed apply link.
  • Let what a provider pays change the order of a list.

Providers pay us a fee that in most cases falls due only if you go on to be approved for or take up the product, and on a few products it is a percentage of the amount borrowed. That relationship is described in full on the editorial policy page; how lists are ordered is on methodology. Complaints go to complaints; data requests to contact.

To use the site: compare personal loans, browse lenders, or get matches — we run no credit search. How Bankmatch compares loans is the short tour.
