Sorted on the rate each provider publishes — not on an editorial judgement, and not on what we are paid. Our ratings on rates, fees, transparency, flexibility and service appear on each listing and do not move it up the list.

The annual percentage rate shown includes interest and the charges the lender requires you to pay to obtain the credit. Where a simple annual rate is also shown, each rate that will apply and the period it applies for is stated with it.
Rates and terms shown are terms the provider states it will actually make available. Your own rate depends on the provider's assessment of your application, and not every applicant qualifies for the lowest rate shown.
Rates and terms come from the provider and can change without notice. Check the provider's own disclosure before you apply; where the two differ, the provider's governs.
If you tick the box, you agree that Bankmatch may email you about products and guides. This is our own email only — we do not pass your details to any lender or sell them to anyone. You can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, and withdrawing is as easy as agreeing was.
Labels are derived from the published terms in this list — the lowest rate, the fastest stated payout, the widest amount range — and are recalculated whenever the list changes. They are not paid placements.
Bankmatch is paid by the providers whose products appear here, in most cases only if you go on to be approved for or take up a product. Payment does not affect the order of this list, or the rates and fees shown, which come from the provider.
The order is calculated before any commercial term is considered. No provider can buy a higher position, no placement here is for sale, and products with no published rate appear last.
Bankmatch is not a lender, a bank, a mortgage broker or an insurance producer. We make no credit decision, we set no rate or fee, we take no application, and we charge you nothing. Any agreement is between you and the provider.
We collect what you enter on this form to show you matching products and, where you agree, to email you. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not disclose it to any lender. Our privacy notice explains what we hold, how long we keep it, and how to access, correct or delete it.
Payment does not affect this order. No provider can buy a higher position, and the order is calculated from published rates before any commercial term is considered. Products with no published rate appear last.
Where two products carry the same rate, the earlier one keeps its place. Products we earn nothing from are ordered the same way as products we do.
We do not cover every product on the market. A provider absent from this list is not a judgement about it.

Car finance in United States is a secured or unsecured loan used to buy a vehicle. Bankmatch lists licensed lenders with a live apply link — not a dealer windscreen rate that may include markup you cannot see.
A dealer can add a margin to the rate. Arriving with a written offer from a bank or specialist lender is the usual way to keep that margin honest. Compare the APR, the term, any balloon or residual, and whether the car is the security.
A longer term lowers the monthly payment and keeps you owing more than the car is worth for longer. A deposit usually improves the price and reduces that gap. Use the car finance calculator on the same price and term you are being quoted.
If you already have a car loan, refinancing only helps if the new APR and any early-exit fee beat the remaining schedule. Compare personal loans if the car will not be security, or match on amount and term.

Used cars often carry a slightly higher rate and much lower depreciation. The cheaper loan is the one with the lower total cost, not the lower sticker.
Not always, but a deposit usually improves the rate and reduces the chance you owe more than the car is worth.
It covers the gap between what you owe and what the car is worth if it is written off. Useful on long terms; check whether it is required.
Most lenders allow it. Some charge a fee. The card and the disclosure should say so.
